How Flower Dome Growing Tulips and Sakura in Warmer Climate of Singapore?

Finding cherry trees and tulips planting in Southeast Asia's Tropical climate is such an surprising thing. So, how Garden by the Bay can grow them succesfully?

The trick is the underground cooling system. There is treatment to make the domes get the cold air like the real habitat of cold mediterranean climate in Flower Dome and also for imitating the cool humid of rainforest in Cloud Forest Dome.

Conservatories apply the strategy of cooling only on the lower levels, thus reducing the volume of air to be cooled. This is attained through the ground cooling system by chilled water pipes cast within the floor slabs which enabling cool air to settle at the lower occupied zones while the warm air rises and is vented out at high levels. This such effort makes the temperature suitable for the health & growth of tulips and other plants.

The underground chilled water pipes are used also in the purpose to reduce energy cost inside the domes. Even these water pipes are cooled by the energy generated from burning the detirus of the plants. To reduce the amount of energy required in the dome's cooling proses. The air in Flower Dome is dehumidified by liquid drying agent before it is cooled. This drying agent is also recycled using the waste heat from the burning of the biomass. The processes have reduced the energy consumption by the domes up to 30%.
