The Difference Between Casitas and Cuarto
Casitas
Casitas is a villa-type accommodation. Lucia’s has a total of 4 Casitas which can all accommodate up to 20 people if you will add extra beds. There’s a shared kitchen and dining area in every 2 Casitas.
Cuarto or Casa Grande
Cuarto or Casa Grande, on the other hand, is a 2-storey building consist of 3 rooms per floor. Each floor of the building has its own shared kitchen and dining area.
What is a Forest Cabin?
Forest Cabins are tiny homes located in the middle of the forest inside the resort! Each cabin has a private bathroom and a kitchenette. They also have a front porch in which guests can hang out and chill. These types of rooms, however, don’t have TV and in-room WiFi (unlike the Cuarto and Casitas rooms.) But this is a good thing as you can really feel the tranquility of the surroundings far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Live like you’re in the countryside at Forest Cabins!
Forest Cabin has 1 queen bed and is good for 2-3 people if you will add an extra bed. Lucia’s has 9 units of this accommodation type.
Family Cabin is almost the same as the forest cabin, the only difference is that it is a 3-storey cabin and is good for 6-7 people. Lucia’s only has 1 unit of this accommodation type.
Our Staycation Experience at The Resort
We stayed in Lucia’s for 3 days and 2 nights. And you guess it right, we chose the Forest Cabin. Cuarto and Casitas are modern and very comfortable rooms. However, we wanted to feel something new while we’re far from home. And only Forest Cabins can offer that.
Forest cabins at Lucia’s offer an amazing atmosphere for those people who want to escape the business of the city. This is actually the first time I will say this, but waking up early in the morning was my favorite part during our stay at the resort! I love sleeping and I’m not an early bird, but trust me, hearing the sound of trees and birds as soon as you wake up is so therapeutic!
Once you go out of the room and you see the lush greens and feel the cold breeze, it’s nothing more than a relaxing stay!
Cavite Staycation: The food at Lucia’s
Our stay at the resort includes a free breakfast. And their breakfast? Wow. There are three options you can choose from, Filipino breakfast, American breakfast, and Kiddie breakfast. On our first breakfast, I chose the Filipino breakfast, of course, that is non-other than the “silog” meals. Yum! I had a spamsilog and a glass of Calamansi juice. I love Calamansi or Lemon juice so this really made me feel refresh to start the day.
On our second breakfast, I had an American meal. I chose a Hungarian sausage dish. The dish also includes egg and toasted bread. It was so good!
All breakfast meals have a salad as well.
How about our lunch and dinner, you ask? Well, I love cooking so we cooked our own food! Yes! Cooking is allowed at Lucia’s. You can even bring your own food to cook. I literally went to the grocery store before our check-in just to buy the ingredients, hehe. But don’t expect too much, I only cooked simple meals like tuna, egg, hotdog, and fried rice. Haha!
Lucia’s have a cafe/resto/bar so you can also order your lunch or dinner there. We just decided to cook our own meal just for the experience. Also, it is very convenient to cook at Forest Cabin’s kitchenette!
