Philippine Passport holders Who are Exempted to Apply for A Montenegro Tourist Visa/ Visa-Free to Enter Montenegro

  • Holders of valid Schengen, US, UK and Northern Island, Ireland, or visa or resident permits of those stated can enter Montenegro for up to 30 days or until the validity of their visa, whichever is lower. 
  • Holders of travel documents issued by EU Member-States, US, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Japan may enter Montenegro and reside there for up to 30 days without a visa.
  • Those holders of Alien Passport from Latvia
  • Holders of APEC Business Travel Card can stay for a maximum of 30 days
  • Holders of a resident permit from United Arab Emirates (valid for at least 30 days) and arriving directly from there are visa-exempt and can stay for a maximum of 10 days but must show a return ticket and proof of accommodation

How to Apply For A Montenegro Tourist Visa with Your Philippines Passport

  • Colored Photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm) – attached to the visa application form
  • Valid Passport (at least 90 days from the issue date of visa)

Philippine Passport

  • Invitation Letter or hotel reservation (If invited by a relative or friend – certified invitation letter is required)
  • Air ticket reservation
  • Travel Insurance (You can get one from Safetywing or AXA Schengen
  • Proof of Sufficient Fund e.g. Bank Statement
  • Payment of Consular Fee – EURO 124 for an individual visa, but if a group of at least 5 people then EURO 124 for the first person and an additional 6 EUROS per person. 

Note: There is a Montenegro Consulate in the Philippines, however as per the Visa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, applying at the Serbian Embassy in Jakarta is Recommended. 

Step-by-Step Guide on How to Apply for A Montenegro Tourist Visa

STEP 1: Fill in the application form completely and legibly. Attach your photo. 

STEP 2: Gather all the required documents. Scan all of them, all documents in PDF format and should not exceed 200 KB.

STEP 3: Go to the bank or do an online International bank transfer to pay for your visa fee to the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Jakarta.

Remember to let them transfer the full amount, the bank charges will be paid by you. Should you have a group visa, please e-mail the embassy in advance to confirm your visa fees.

STEP 4: Write your name in the bank slip and scan it. Send all the required documents to embjakarta@serbian-embassy.org.

STEP 5: Wait for the approval of your visa.

STEP 6: If your visa is approved, you need to send your passport to the embassy and pay EURO 30/35 for DHL postal fee, so that your visa will be sent to you.

Processing time: The processing time is about 3-4 weeks. So, apply for the visa at least 6-8 weeks before your departure date.

1. I’m going to Jakarta, can I pay in cash?

No, the Embassy does not accept cash payment.

2. Where can I pay?

You can pay at your bank and have international fund transfer. However, you have to make sure your payment is in the exact amount – in Euros and that bank charges are shouldered by you and not deducted from your payment.

3. Is personal appearance mandatory?

No. You can submit your documents online.

4. Can I get my visa at the embassy?

Yes, you can. Once it is approved you can get the visa and travel to Indonesia to go to at the Embassy of Serbia and not pay the DHL postal fee.

5. Where can I claim my approved visa?
