A very beautiful 13th-century cathedral in Romanesque and Gothic style. Dominating the other constructions of the island, it is the central landmark of the old town. Its 47m high bell tower was built between the 14th and the 16th century. Climbing the bell tower, however, is challenging and not recommended for people prone to vertigo. But the climb is worth the effort.

The main square is the largest and most beautiful square in Trogir. The cathedral, town hall, and other old buildings are located here. This small heart of Trogir has so many architectural beauties in such an intimate space. The bars that invade half of the square don’t spoil the atmosphere.

A beautiful fortress, located at the end of the sea promenade. The view of Kamerlengo Castle, a typical example of a medieval fortress, is impressive. It was built in the 15th century by the Venetians as part of the defensive system of the city from the attacks of the Ottoman Empire. The fortress’ exterior is really magnificent and is a must-see!

5. Waterfront Promenade

A very nice promenade in front of the old town. There are many restaurants here where you can have a drink and marvel at the sometimes huge yachts lying in the harbor. The fortress is also located at the end of the promenade.

If you enter the old town through the north gate, you will see this magnificent facade with Gothic windows and reliefs. Opposite the cathedral, the Cipiko Palace housed the city’s noble family in the 15th century. A princely residence built for one of the most illustrious families of Trogir. The rear portal was made in the 14th century by the famous sculptor from Trogir: Ivan Duknovic.

7. The Chapel of Ivan Orsini

The Chapel of Ivan Orsini is an authentic marvel, it was built in local limestone and inspired by the Temple of Jupiter, from the Diocletian’s Palace, in Split. It is considered one of the most important, if not the most important works of the Dalmatian Renaissance.
