British Airways joins PreCheck

Qualified British Airways customers can now take advantage of TSA PreCheck.

With its entry into the expedited security-screening program, British Airways joins U.K. competitor Virgin Atlantic as well as major European transatlantic carriers Lufthansa, Air France and KLM.

Virgin Voyages unveiled renderings in New York today of many of the public spaces on their first cruise ship, which is currently under construction in Genoa, Italy and scheduled to debut in 2020.

The spaces, which have been designed for an 18-and-over crowd, have taken a full year of design and a full year of engineering to develop. The line intentionally chose to work with designers and architects who have never worked on ships before, but instead have spent their careers creating nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, and even movie sets.

TSA keeps list of combative travelers as warning for checkpoint officers

The Transportation Security Administration keeps a list of travelers who have assaulted officers at airport checkpoints in the past, officials told a House hearing Thursday.

The list has fewer than 50 names on it, according to Darby LaJoye, TSA’s assistant administrator for security operations.

The list isn’t used to tighten screening for those travelers, but to warn federal security directors at airports that the person may be approaching on a given day, he told the House Homeland Security subcommittee on transportation security.

A coalition of four political parties, who are in negotiations to form the new city government, announced a series of agreed reforms to bring “balance” to the city.
